چکیده
Purpose: This study investigated discoloration and surface roughness (Ra) of resin-based computer aided design (CAD)/computer manufacturing (CAM) blocks direct indirect resin composites after staining with coffee. Materials & Methods: Using a Teflon mold, 60 disc shaped specimens (8×2 mm2) were fabricated from (Estelite Asteria GrandioSO) (Gradia Plus) composites, 30 CAD/CAM (12×14×2 mm3) prepared composite (Vita Enamic, Brilliant Crios, Cerasmart) (n=10). A contact type profilometer was used to determine the Ra all polished samples. All thermocycled between 5 55°C for 3000 cycles, immersed in coffee solution (37°C) 1 7 days. spectrophotometer color change (∆E00) CIEDE2000 formula re-polished. One-way analysis variance (ANOVA) Tukey multiple comparison test performed analyze data (p<0.05). Results: The lowest degree among materials tested found Vita Enamic block (p<0.001), whereas highest Gradia Plus (p<0.001). There no significant difference seen initial values groups (p=0.249). No improvement observed except Cerasmart polishing. Conclusion: Direct have higher potential over blocks, they are less prone than

Effects of Protective Resin Coating on the Surface Roughness and Color Stability of Resin-Based Restorative Materials
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of nanofilled protective resin coating (RC) on the surface roughness (Ra) and color stability (ΔE) of resin-based restorative materials (RM) (compomer (C), nanofilled composite (NF), and microhybrid composite (MH)) after being submitted to the ultraviolet aging (UV) method. Thirty-six specimens were prepared (n = 6 for each group). The Ra and (Δ...

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of 2 prophylaxis pastes on surface roughness of composites cured with halogen or additionally post-cured, and to compare it with porcelain. Materials and Methods: 42 specimens with 2 mm in thickness and 8 mm in diameter from the composites Miris (M; Coltene) and Filtek Z250 (Z250; 3M ESPE) were polymerized (Optilux 501; Kerr) in p...
متن کاملEffect of Antiasthmatic Medication on the Surface Roughness and Color Stability of Dental Restorative Materials
OBJECTIVE This study evaluated the effect of antiasthmatic medication on the surface roughness and color stability of dental restorative materials. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 60 disc-shaped specimens were fabricated from glass ionomer (n = 20), composite resin (n = 20) and feldspathic porcelain (n = 20). Each material group was randomly divided into two subgroups (n = 10): (1) control g...
متن کاملColor stability, gloss, and surface roughness of indirect composite resins.
This in vitro study evaluated the color stability, gloss, and surface roughness (Ra) of four indirect composites. Enamel and dentin shades of Radica, Sculpture Plus, Belleglass-NG, and Gradia Indirect were evaluated for color stability. Specimens were stored in a staining solution (coffee) and assessed every 3 days for a period of 21 days, after which color difference (∆E*) was calculated. Only...
متن کاملSurface roughness values for resin based materials
Introduction Surface roughness of dental restorative materi als is most often established with the Ra value obtained using profilometry or by assessing surface topography with the scanning electron microscope (SEM). Both methods should vali date each other in confirming surface rough ness. Aims and objectives The purpose of this study was to compare sur face roughness values obtained with a...
